We are back from the Vet all went well.  He is a healthy 7lb puppy.  He got his shot and is napping right now.  Now I think Mom and Dad need a nap.

Our Brama Bully

As you all can see he is growing by leaps and bounds.  We have our first Vet visit tomorrow.  We had to get him a new "house" today because Daddy was worried his crate was too small.  Thank God for Grandma who comes and lets him out while we are at work.  I came home the other day to an empty house and called grandma who was taking a nap out on her porch with Porkchop in her lap.  She is an amazing woman and I love her very much.  She always lends a hand and is the kindest, loving, and caring person I know (next to her son).  We are all truely blessed to have her in our lives.  I will report tomorrow after the visit.

Leaps and bounds

Our little man is now taking the steps with no trouble at all.  He loves to be outside and after going potty he walks on the stone edging to get to porch.  Of course Lord Porkchop's feet are too important to touch the dirty ground.  He is comming into his own placement here in the family with the help of big sis Minnie Pearl who, with a firm bark and a roll on  his back lets him know SHE is the top dog.

Feeling better

Well it seems our little Porkapotamus decided to eat a little bit of filling from his dog bed as his Dad discovered while doing his daily "duty".  He is back to his little hyper bundle of fluff today.  ( a sigh of relief from his worried Mom)

Worried worried

We have a sick puppy on our hands.  He became lethargic and threw up dinner and had water comming out the other end.  In all my years of being a vet tech I never had problems helping others with thier babies however, I lose my mind when it's mine.  He is curled up with his daddy right now sound asleep.  Please please please let him be ok.  I am in for a looooooong night for sure. :(

Porkapotamus

our big boy outside!!!

Typical new Dad

I had to laugh last night.  It was  1 am and all was quiet at the Gritton house...too quiet.  Shannon woke me up to say "it's too quiet Porkchop hasn't woke us up".  He then went to his "house" and said " you okay boy?"  After a quick sharp bark Dad was happy to know all was well.  This lead to Mom going out in PJ's and an umbrella for a late night potty trip outside.  This made me laugh because I remember my mom telling me that my dad would wake us up so we would cry and he would know we were ok.  Our lives have changed and I love it.  We couldn't do it without the help from Grandma!!!  She is one special lady who never hesitates to help all she can.

Our new baby bully Lord Porkchop of Paris aka Porkapotamus

This is the new baby Porkchop.  I have always loved bulldogs but after my "LittleMan" passed away over 15 years ago I thought I could never have another bully.  Finally my life is finally perfect and a wonderful friend got me in contact with a great lady who had just had a litter and low and behold there was a little fawn and white male bundle of joy that was meant for me.  After several phone calls and saving a lot of pennies I got my little fluffy ball of happiness.  He came into Robys Country Gardens with his new daddy and it was love at first sight.  He gave the sweetest kisses and my nose was filled with the wonderful smell of "puppy breath".  Next to my wonderful boyfriend he is the best thing in my life.  He took to our wild kingdom house of 2 other dogs and 2 cats.  He struts around with his little nubbin wagging.  He sniffed around and looked up at us as if to say "yep...this will do".  I can now honestly say my life is complete.  Loving home, loving man and a whole house full of furry love!!!!!!
